The Capitol Center for the Arts is in the running for a grant that would bring free outdoor concerts to Concord for three years — and it needs votes from the public to advance to the next round.

The Leavitt Foundation, which funds the Levitt Music Series Grant, aims to help communities make the most of outdoor public spaces with music. If the Capitol Center were to secure the grant, the award money would pay for shows at the new Canal Street Riverfront Park in Penacook, a headlining concert at Market Days, a headlining concert during the New England Coffee Festival and six outdoor concerts at Arts Alley, according to an announcement.

Public voting online and via text helps determine which proposals get the money, and the Capitol Center is crowdsourcing support. Find information about how to vote at their website, www.ccanh.com.
