Robin Ann McBride
Boscawen, NH – Robin Ann McBride, 60, passed away peacefully on July
26, 2025. Born in Manchester, New Hampshire, on March 24, 1965, Robin
grew up there and later moved with her parents to Pittsfield, where
she built a life rooted in family, friendship, and faithful care for
others.
Robin devoted many years to serving as a Licensed Nursing Assistant
until illness required her to step away from formal work. In true
Robin fashion, she poured that same compassion and dedication into her
greatest calling-raising her three daughters. As a stay-at-home mom,
she was the heart of the household, creating a home that was always
tidy, welcoming, and lovingly decorated.
Robin was a gifted crafter with an eye for beauty and a knack for
‘turning anything into something’, and she transformed the most
ordinary materials into keepsakes. She created items that were useful,
beautiful, and deeply meaningful-always made with love for the people
in her life. Every holiday, she carried on her cherished baking
tradition, gifting homemade treats and handmade treasures to family
and friends. Even through long seasons of illness, Robin met each day
with a bright smile, a listening ear, and an open door. She always
showed up-for birthdays, cookouts, and family visits-cheering everyone
on and reminding them they were never alone.
Some of Robin’s happiest moments were spent at York Beach, in the
company of her lifelong best friend, Robyn Blanchard. With tenderness,
Robin cared for her parents; with devotion, she raised her daughters;
and with generosity, she extended her love to all who knew her. She
valued, above all else, the blessings of family and the bonds of
friendship, and cherished all that she had, never wasteful and always
finding meaning in the things around her.
Robin was predeceased by her parents, Shirley and John McBride, and by
her sister, Tippy (Shirley) McBride. She is survived by her three
daughters, Kerri Chagnon Stuart, Macy and Star Chagnon; her brothers
John, Joseph, and Gerald McBride; the father of her children, Dennis
Chagnon; and her lifelong best friend, Robyn Blanchard. She also
leaves behind extended family and many friends who will miss her warm
smile, gentle presence, and unfailing generosity.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, September 20, 2025, at
2:00 p.m. Family and friends are invited to join in remembrance of
Robin’s life of love, creativity, and strength. For location details,
please contact her daughters or email starchagnon@gmail.com.
In lieu of formalities, Robin would want everyone to pass along a
little kindness to someone who needs it. She often brightened the day
of strangers with a compliment, a kind word, or a smile. Those small
gestures of thoughtfulness reflected the very heart of who she was.
That is the legacy she leaves-one handmade act of love, one simple
kindness, at a time.
