Penacook 500
A friend of mine lives near what he calls the Penacook 500. The roundabout area has become a reckless NASCAR track of speeding vehicles. Additionally, the T-intersection at Village Street and Canal Street requires a Hail Mary level of negotiation.
With all the new housing and businesses in Penacook, its predictable that traffic has increased and sped up.
Is it possible to add some undulations at the roundabout approaches and setup a traffic light near Chief’s Place to prevent accidents?
It’s always best for folks to see things for themselves. Please visit Penacook at rush hour and try out all the blind corner crosswalks on foot. Naturally, if anybody has better ideas on how to make things safer, then let’s do that instead.
