Paul F. Berwick
Chichester, NH – Paul F. Berwick age 90 died Wednesday Sept. 17 at
Granite VNA Hospice House. He was born in Orange CT, son of the late
George and Luella (Ford) Berwick. He was a graduate of Concord High
School class of 1953. After graduation he enlisted in the United
States Airforce having a 23-year illustrious career. Acheivements
included establishing a milestone in aviation history by participating
as a crew member on the first all jet aerial flight (C-141 Starlifter)
to a continent of Antarctica.
He was a member of the Initial CADRE to fly the C-5 Galaxy (world’s
largest airplane) from 1968-1975. He accomplished 8,000 miles of
flight in his career including Vietnam.
Life long member of the Concord Lodge of Elks, American Legion and
VFW.
After the service he had several careers, including owning and
operating Berwick Lumber, Major B’s Carpentry and delivered for Sanel
Auto parts for 7 years. He was passionate about gardening and was
affectionately known as the Mayor of Lottie Lane.
He was predeceased by his daughter; Terri Champagne.
He is survived by his loving wife Jane (Ellis) Berwick, two sons; Jay
Berwick and his wife Deborah, Gary Berwick and his wife Barbara, two
daughters; Tracy Dow and her husband Thomas, Kristine McIntyre and her
husband Glen, son in law; Mark Champagne and his wife Tina, eight
grandchildren; Erin Ramsey, Cody Champagne, Jessica Beauchine,
Nicholas Berwick, Abigail Dow, Ashley Dow, Cory Girard, Dillon Girard
and17 great grandchildren. He also had 5 siblings.
Visting hours will be held Monday, September 29th from 5PM ย 7PM at
the Waters Funeral Home at 50 South Main St, Concord.
Memorial services with full military honors will be celebrated on
Tuesday, September 30th at 1PM at the NH State Veterans Cemetery in
Boscawen.
