Brent Todd is an analyst for GE Aerospace, a founding member of the Penacook Village Association and an 11-year incumbent representing Ward 1. Though a part of Concord, Penacook has a different zip code, school district, tax rate and history. Todd is one of several city councilors, including other longstanding members, who has no challenger in his bid for re-election.

Brent Todd

Age: 61

Years living in Concord: 26

Top issues: Housing, taxes and spending, economic development and revitalization of downtown Penacook

Reason for running: “I want to continue to make sure Penacook folks are heard as we move forward with important future planning.”

Key point: “Some voters may feel that change of City Councilors is good. I don’t disagree, but having experience leads to effective representation, as long as energy level and commitment isn’t diminished. I wouldn’t run for reelection if I felt I could no longer provide top level service to constituents.”

Most important projects for Ward 1: Police station, Fire station, library
