A bicyclist killed after being struck by a car on Loudon Road Friday evening was 43-year-old Elisabeth Benoit, Concord Police said Monday.
Police have not arrested the driver, who fled after hitting Benoit just after dark, around 7:00 p.m. Friday, near the Irving gas station on Loudon Road.
Benoit, a Concord resident, was taken to Concord Hospital, where she later died.
Photos of a “vehicle of interest” in the fatal crash released by Concord Police show a dark-colored sedan. The investigation is ongoing.
In 2023, the Monitor interviewed Benoit about her family’s struggle to get an apartmentย in Concord and the costs of losing their housing, not once, but twice.

Concord Police have asked anyone with information about the crash or who was in the area of Loudon Road between 7:00 and 7:20 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 3, to call the department at 603-225-8600 or the Concord Regional Crimeline at 603-226-3100.
