A walk-in primary care facility has opened at Merchants Way near Exit 17 of I-93.
The facility, owned by Concord Hospital Medical Group, offers care for sudden illnesses and minor injuries when a patient’s primary care provider isn’t available with no appointment needed.
The new practice offers on-site lab and X-ray services for patients. Patients do not need to have existing care within the Concord Hospital Health System, and each visit is billed as a routine office visit.
The opening is the latest addition to the shopping center, which opened in 2022 with a Market Basket supermarket. A 30,000-square-foot Marshall’s store is slated to open next year.
“Primary care is designed for ongoing health management. Walk-in primary care is for acute illness or minor injury when your primary care provider is not available. Urgent care provides attention for non-life-threatening issues outside of regular office hours, and the emergency room is for severe, life-threatening situations,” said Administrative Director of Primary Care Eric Sheff. “Using the correct level of care prevents unnecessary costs and long wait times while getting the right type of care for the condition.”
The new facility is open seven days a week from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
