Re-Elect Mayor Champlin
I’m writing this letter in support of the re-election of Mayor Byron Champlin.
I supported Byron in his run for city councilor some years back and in the time between then and now, have come to know and respect him more. Two years ago when Byron decided to run to fill the seat vacated by the very popular Jim Bouley, I wondered how he would fill those shoes. Byron is doing it. He makes himself approachable, easy to talk to and very visible in the city. You’ll see him at many events including weekend coffee gatherings, numerous city council meetings, opening of parks, rallies and meetings with organizations.
In the two years since his election, Mayor Champlin has continued to support issues to make Concord a better place. One of the things he is passionate about is the work he and the city council do to secure housing for all residents. Concord was named a Housing Champion by the state of New Hampshire and Byron continues to support partnerships with both private and non-profit developers to increase availability of housing for all, including our homeless population.
Byron is an enthusiastic supporter of the arts. He supported the completion of a new public art mural in town and continues his focus on economic growth to create jobs and expand our tax base. If reelected, I have no doubt he will continue to make downtown revitalization a priority while encouraging the broadening of Concord’s tax base and create jobs.
Byron Champlin will continue to put Concord first. I believe he has earned your vote for mayor.
