Supervisor of the Checklist-Ward 10
My name is TJ Ballew and I am a candidate in Concord Ward 10 for the position of Supervisor of the Checklist. Since this is the first time in many years that Ward 10 has had a contested race, I’m writing to introduce myself to the voters.
Before coming to Concord, my husband and I settled in Portsmouth when he was finishing a 20-year career in the Navy, and as I was starting what would become a 25-year career working as an administrative assistant in the York, Maine, School Department’s Superintendent’s Office. After retirement in 2019, I chose assisting at the polls as another form of public service. Since that time I have performed supervisor duties for multiple elections, first in Portsmouth (where they are called assistant registrars) and also here in Concord after our relocation to the Havenwood Heritage Heights community.
I believe the right to vote is one of the bedrock values of our country, and that all citizens should have the opportunity to exercise this right. Helping to register those qualified to vote, and maintaining the integrity of those records and our elections in general is important to me. I ask for your vote in the coming election.
