Trump Transparency Claims
Demand for transparency from presidential administrations is not unusual. Supporters of Donald Trump claim that he is “the most transparent president of all time.” President Trump does display an “in your face” brand of transparency.
Grifter-in-Chief: marketing Trump merchandise, establishing a crypto currency business, taking global pay-to-play opportunities, demanding U.S. taxpayers settle a $230 million restitution claim over prosecution efforts seeking accountability for his 2020 peaceful transfer of power obstruction and illegal Mar-a-lago documents retention cases.
Strongman Advocate: siding with adversaries, alienating allies, undermining Ukraine’s war efforts against Russian aggression, disparaging NATO, discounting United Nations’ standing.
Weaponizer of the Justice Department: directing politicized justice officials to enforce his revenge/retaliation effort against those seeking accountability for his illegal actions; awarding pardons to all Jan. 6 convicts, crypto-currency criminals, fraudsters and sex offenders; transferring Ghislane Maxwell to a “cushy” detainment center while vigorously impeding the promised Epstein files release.
Defier of the Rule of Law: bypassing due process via his ICE mass deportation campaign; attacking purported drug dealers in international waters, threatening future land incursions without Congressional approval; misusing and abusing our military deployments.
Destroyer of Democratic Norms: Questioning birthright citizenship, unilaterally dictating arbitrary tariff conditions, expanding gerrymandering election-map efforts, attacking free speech, threatening the right to protest; thwarting healthcare negotiations, prolonging the government’s shutdown.
Keep in mind that our Commander-in-Chief is also the master of deflection. Behind the scenes as oversight has been thwarted and accountability has been stymied, what else is going on that we do not know about?
