Solar power brings us together
In an era where the bitter partisan divide on all levels in this country is dimming hope that we can find common ground anywhere, it was so encouraging to see David Brooks’ Granite Geek column (“Clearing a Path For Balcony Solar”) describe a potential piece of legislation that can truly appeal to everyone and save money in the process. He describes a bill proposed by Sen. David Watters that can cut though regulatory red tape and allow individual homeowners to install plug-in solar panels. What’s not to like? The appeal is universal, even to freedom-loving types who call for individual choice. Please consider contacting your representative or senator and ask them to consider signing on as a supporter. Solar energy can cut your bills and bring us all together. What a hopeful possibility!
