On Friday afternoon, Concord police responded to two separate reports involving possible explosive materials.
Around 3:51 p.m., Concord police officers were called to a wooded area near 15 Integra Drive after receiving a report of โseveral hazardous items wired together,โ according to a press release.
After the presence of hazardous materials was confirmed, the New Hampshire State Police Bomb Squad was called in to eliminate the threat, ensuring all items were rendered safe.
The area is located about half a mile from the New Hampshire Lottery Commission headquarters.
Only three minutes after the first report, police received a second call about a potential threat directed at 18 North Main Street. Officers secured the area and closed a section of North Main Street between Pleasant Street and School Street.
Personnel from the bomb squad assisted police officers in the search of the building and the area.ย
Authorities said the threat was dispelled and the road was opened later.ย ย
The building at 18 North Main Street houses the office of Congresswoman Maggie Goodlander.ย
Authorities have confirmed that both cases remain active and under investigation, but there is no threat to the public.
This comes after President Donald Trump accused U.S. Rep. Maggie Goodlander and five other Democratic veterans in Congress of traitorism after they made a video urging U.S. military personnel to refuse โillegal orders.โ
Trump responded Thursday on social media by calling the video โseditious behavior, punishable by death.โ
