Obey all orders — legal and especially illegal!
Trump reacted to several members of congress, including New Hampshire’s Maggie Goodlander, reminding our military personnel that they are not required to follow illegal orders. And, in fact, their oath of service requires that they refuse to obey illegal orders. Trump’s response was that their communique was treasonous, and punishable by death.
So, Trump makes it evident he demands the military to follow his orders, even the illegal ones. Nazis accused of war crimes and crimes against humanity in World War II tried to defend themselves by stating they were “just following orders.” It didn’t fly then, and must not be given credence now.
