Concord, NH – Richard Tirrell, age 74, of Canal Street passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday November 19, 2025.
Born in Concord, NH the youngest son of the late Harold and Frances Tirrell. He attended Concord High School before serving as a Building Constructionman Apprentice in the U.S. Navy from December 3, 1970-January 31, 1973.
Richard worked in concrete construction and followed family tradition providing endless rides through his years dedicated as a cab driver for local taxi companies.
Richard was an avid sports fan and enjoyed watching his beloved Boston Celtics and his great nephews’ football games. Richard enjoyed spending time with family and friends, and could always tell a great story.
Richard is survived by his brother Harold W. Tirrell Jr. and his wife Mary Ann of Concord, sister Sandra L. Tirrell of Loudon, sister Nancy M. Cantwell of Concord, daughter Jamie J. Brien and son in law Kenneth Houle of Concord, daughter Brittany L. Tirrell of Sanbornton, six grandchildren, five nephews and two nieces, large extended family, and many friends.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday December 5, 2025 at 11am at the New Hampshire Veteran’s Cemetery Chapel, 110 Daniel Webster Highway, Boscawen, NH 03303. A Celebration of Life will be announced for spring 2026. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Richard B. Tirrell memorial fund:
