Our out of touch president
The president recently proclaimed “Every price is down” and “Everything is way down.” I wonder when was the last time he purchased groceries. My guess is that it hasn’t happen in this century. Currently, inflation is running about 3%. It is a shame, he can’t be honest with us and tell the truth.
It seems to me, that he has never had to struggle to pay for things such as clothing, housing, transportation, child care or utility bills that the rest of us have to pay. If he personally had to face these choices, I am sure he would have a different view.
He can talk about these issues and people believe him. But does he really care about inflation and the hardship that imposes on all of us? Empathy is not his strong suit.
When I read about what President Trump and other GOP members of Congress said about inflation, my reaction is “What planet are they on?” Certainly not on ours.
