Would you speak up for Palestinians

While most people in America and around the world acknowledge that a genocide has occurred in Gaza, little attention has focused on the ongoing ethnic cleansing in the illegal Israeli occupation of the West Bank and East Jerusalem. According to NPR, Israel’s government is once again defying international law by using its military and its 700,000 “settlers” to drive Palestinians off their land.

Human Rights Watch says 32,000 Palestinians were expelled recently from three refugee camps in the West Bank which constitute war crimes while since Oct. 7, 2023, more than 1000 Palestinians have been killed by the Israeli occupation forces and by illegal Jewish “settlers” who have escalated their violent attacks on Palestinians.

The UN says that 1,000 Palestinians in the West Bank were displaced when Israel demolished their homes while a further 500 people were made homeless in East Jerusalem. Yuli Novak, director of Israel’s human rights organization, B’Tselem, notes the “international community must put an end to Israel’s impunity and hold those responsible for crimes against the Palestinian people to account.”

Israel’s government has made clear they wish to annex the entire West Bank and East Jerusalem. Human rights advocates say this makes Israel guilty of “crimes against humanity” and a serial violator of international law which Israel ignores. It can do so because its benefactor, the U.S. Congress supports Israel unconditionally.

Would you speak up for Palestinians who are seen by Israelis as “animals” and “cockroaches,” stripping these human beings of their dignity and humanity?
