The Problem With Alf
Let me start this off by saying this: anyone who thinks that the beloved 1980s NBC sitcom “Alf” was anything more than bad has no real taste in art.
“Alf” is the embodiment of everything wrong with the last 50 years of history. That repulsive little alien not only caused me crippling anxiety every time I walked near the Wal-Mart DVD section as a child, but I’m sure he’s tortured the lives of other countless children since the show went on the air in 1986.
Everyone needs to come together and just accept this fact: Alf is scary. He is a petrifying, pesky little creature that has no right to exist. For some reason, everyone and their sick and twisted 80s minds decided that this Gordon fella was the pinnacle of entertainment. NOPE! He traumatized me as a child and I won’t let anyone else be traumatized anymore!
So many people today focus on problems that don’t matter, like affordability. We all need to focus on making sure that our children don’t get scarred from this terrifying creature.
