Steplegate Mall edition-Rundlett Middle School

We seem to be running into cost problems with the redevelopment of our mall. The buildings are viable, only 30 years or less of age. I sat on the Concord Chamber of Commerce planning committee in planning the mall years ago. Why can’t we take some of the mall and put our school within the building of that mall? This would help retain some more of the current building structure and allow the developer to continue with plans such as retaining JC Penney. The property could be blocked off to maintain a safe environment for our students. The long term benefits would be to have a structure that could last 40 years and keep the tax burden in check for future taxpayers.
