NHIAA wrestlers are back on the mats and as local teams look ahead to the season, here’s a look at how each team is approaching the 2025-26 season.

This year marks Concord head coach Ham Munnell’s 30th season in charge of the Crimson Tide, during which he has never had a losing season and has accumulated 500 career dual meet wins. With multiple returning wrestlers, the team seeks to win the state title after a fourth-place finish last season.

Senior captain Madison Beauregard will hunt for her fourth consecutive women’s state title. Beauregard and senior Jaxon Carter traveled to Fargo, North Dakota, to compete at nationals this summer and will both be wrestlers to watch this season.

Concord

Division: I

Coach: Ham Munnell (30th year)

Last year: Fourth place

Returning starters: Jaxon Carter, Max Chung and Wayne Gutierrez-Sakakeeny are all returning All-State wrestlers. Each also had over 40 wins last season. Biswas Darji, Owen Gregg and Isaiah Puckett are also all returning All-State wrestlers. Madison Beauregard is a returning three-time state champ and two-time All-New England wrestler for women’s wrestling.

Top newcomers: Sophomores Leo Chung, Ramon Reynolds and Khai Jawitz all saw some varsity action last season and are looking to make a jump this year. Freshmen AJ Sevigny, Daniel Sheehan and Dawsen Nedeau all look to see some time in the varsity lineup

Outlook: “The goal as always is to be competing for a state title come February. I think we have a handful of guys who are looking to compete for individual state titles as well. They have been working hard in the room and like to compete. The season is a marathon, not a sprint, so we’ll see where we are in February, but right now they seem hungry and excited for the opportunity to compete.” – Assistant Coach Daniel Breen

Teams to beat: Timberlane, Salem and Keene.
