Edward A. Maloof

Boscawen, NH – Edward Maloof, 85, of Boscawen, New Hampshire, passed away peacefully on Christmas night, surrounded by his family. Born in Framingham, Massachusetts, he was the son of Edward and Adele Maloof. A 1957 graduate of Norwood High School, Edward served in the U.S. Air Force for 20 years as a boom operator, retiring as a master sergeant. His passion for aviation led to a career as a flight instructor and pilot for Precision Airlines, Northwest Airlink, and the Federal Aviation Administration. He was hired by the New Hampshire State Police as a pilot in 1989, serving until 2000.

Edward spent over 20 years as Senior Flight Instructor at Concord Aviation Services, where he mentored countless students. He also volunteered with the American Cancer Society’s Road to Recovery program and served as a selectman in Boscawen. Above all, Edward’s greatest joy was his family, who brought him endless love and laughter.

He was predeceased by his brother Paul and sister Suzanne. He is survived by his wife Linda, children Guy, Audra, Sean, and Nicole, and six grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 7, 2025, 4:00โ€“7:00 PM, Bennett Funeral Home, 209 North Main Street, Concord, NH

Chapel Service will be on Thursday, January 8, 2025, 12:00 PM

New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery, 110 Daniel Webster Highway, Boscawen, NH. Reception following the service at The Barn at Bull Meadow, 63 Bog Road, Concord, NH.

In honor of Ed’s love for the color purple, the family kindly invites those attending to wear purple to the services if they wish.
