Where is Congress?
Where to begin? An unprovoked military attack on a foreign country. The kidnapping of a foreign head of state which US and international laws prohibit. The President’s behavior distracts from domestic crises (affordability, recession, ICE operating like Gestapo, health insurance triples, the Epstein scandal). And it delivers a spectacle of power reaffirming Trump’s arrogance and unchecked recklessness.
This is a war waged not for “freedom” but for a sense of grievance and entitlement and perhaps oil. The human costs will fall overwhelmingly on Venezuelan people. We’ve done this before! Where are you Congress? Step up and do your jobs!
