North Hampton, NH – Nancy E. Argue, 71, of North Hampton, passed away peacefully on January 18, 2026.
Nancy was born in Boston, Massachusetts, on February 27, 1954, the daughter of the late Richard and Margaret (Gardner) Farrell. She was raised in Scituate, MA, and graduated from Scituate High School, Class of 1972. She later graduated from the University of New Hampshire with a degree in Business Administration.
Following college, Nancy managed Eastern Horizon for several years. She then worked at Northeast Credit Union for twenty years, where she had numerous administrative responsibilities including the opening of the Dover Branch. Following her retirement, Nancy continued her love of service by working as a substitute teacher in the Seabrook, North Hampton, and Somersworth school districts.
Nancy loved the ocean and found great joy in sailing and walking along the beach. She was an avid quilter, enjoyed sewing, and taught quilting classes. She cherished vacations in Maine with her family, especially time spent on China Lake and Lake St. George, where her favorite sound was the call of the loons. Nancy was an excellent skier and enjoyed trips to the mountains with her family. She also loved traveling abroad, with trips to Italy, Paris, Medjugorje and Ireland holding a special place in her heart.
A woman of deep faith and service, Nancy served as a Eucharistic Minister at St. Theresa Parish in Rye Beach and St. Martin Parish in Somersworth. She was also a devoted Cub Scout den mother to her sons. She was known for her kindness and beautiful smile.
Left to cherish her memory are her beloved husband, Thomas Argue; her sons, John “Jori” Argue and his wife, Betsy Edes, and Kevin T. Argue; her sister, Peggy Bruno; many brothers-in-law and sisters-in law; and her grandchildren, Aven Nellie and Elliot Forest, along with many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Nancy was predeceased by her brother, Rick Farrell, and her sister, Karen Crosby.
Visitation will be held from 10 am to noon on Saturday, January 24th, at St. Theresa Parish, 820 Central Road, Rye Beach, NH 03871. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated immediately following the visitation in the church. A springtime burial will take place at Calvary Cemetery in Portsmouth, NH.
