Concord City Counselor Stacey Brown – YOU GO GIRL! This letter is to let you know there are many voters in the City of Concord who, while not your constituents, appreciate your commitment to transparency and your willingness to ask important questions when issues arise. It is about time that a counselor takes their duties as a councilor to ask questions when there are issues that are not fully addressed by the administration.
It is concerning that you are not being permitted to address your concerns directly to city staff, unlike other councilors. Should you face removal from the council, I encourage you to consider running again — perhaps, if needed, as a write-in candidate — or to continue advocating for transparency as a private citizen, including through a Freedom of Information Act request if necessary.
