Election Interference 2.0 — Deja Vu
With Midterm 2026 elections on the horizon and the 2028 Presidential election looming, we are at an inflection point.
One year into Trump’s second term polls indicate that a majority of Americans oppose his policies. He is underwater across the board on handling the economy, exacting “on again-off again” tariffs, dismantling health care coverage, authorizing unconstitutional immigration enforcement, alienating allies and supporting “bad actors”on the world stage and weaponizing the Justice Department to retaliate against perceived enemies.
Recent elections have trended away from Republican candidates. To retain power, instead of changing policies to address the needs of the American people, Trump resorts to using nefarious tactics. His attempts to gerrymander voting districts has not gone as planned. So choosing to revive his “Stop the Steal” play book rears its ugly head. Directing FBI agents along with NSA Director Tulsi Gabbard to seize 2020 voting materials from Fulton County Georgia does not bode well. Trump calls for Republicans to nationalize voting, taking over the election process from states. He questions accepting election results should the vote not go his way.
Those willing to aid and abet are now in official positions to do so. If past is prologue, are we headed for Jan. 6 2.0? DEJA VU!
