Rep. David Nagel, Thank You!
Rep. David Nagel has been representing the people of Belknap County in the state legislature for three years. He is a physician who has sought to represent his district, but also to bring the expertise gained from 40 years of health care and public health experience to the state legislature.
Dr. Nagel has always considered himself a moderate Republican. But he also understands the threat to our most vulnerable Granite Staters posed by the Republic Party’s draconian cuts to our health care safety net. He is willing to speak his conscience. He opposes politically motivated cuts to Medicaid, our public schools, and our public health system. He questions why the legislature should be making decisions about vaccines and other public health measures rather than listening to trained experts who actually study them.
Rep. Nagel has the honesty and humility to see when the party he has always identified with has closed its eyes on the welfare of the people who elected him. He will not allow the leadership of the party to muzzle him from speaking out.
Now, as a moderate Democrat, he is better able to use his unique perspective as a physician and citizen to advocate for the people of New Hampshire. Thank you, Dr. Nagel!
