ICE out of control
The Trump administration claims “the most transparent” in history, but nothing could be further from the as it relates to the killings by ICE agents in Minneapolis.
The investigations have barely started, and they’re already over. Trump and leading administrative officials have aggressively proclaimed the inevitable outcome by coming to conclusions before all evidence has been collected. Good and Pretti have been described as “would-be assassins” wanting to “massacre law enforcement,” “brandishing a weapon” โ allegations that are not only false, but reprehensibly so. Trump, claiming that Good “viciously ran over the ICE officer, who seems to have shot her in self-defense.” Vance, stating it “an attack on the American people” and the agent had “defended himself.” Noem, declaring that the ICE agent acted in “self-defense” and that Good was engaged in “domestic terrorism.” Federal officials who control the FBI fact-finding have prejudged the investigation โ they have been hopelessly compromised.
The federal government has blocked local officials and law enforcement from any participation in the investigations, causing many to question if the federal will be biased. The support of truth takes integrity and this failure to cooperate is fueling public distrust and skepticism. It appears that the fed will justify their murders in the streets by falsely claiming these victims were “domestic terrorists.”
At the risk of being accused of being an alarmist, I view ICE as becoming reminisant of Hitler’s Brown Shirts of the 1920s.
