Jessica Wheeler Russell for MVSD School Board
The annual meeting of the Merrimack Valley School district is this Thursday, March 5 in the High School Gym at 7 p.m. The annual budget, new teacher’s contract and several other important issues will be on the agenda. In addition, there will be elections for School Board members and moderator. Spencer Dickinson from Penacook, Ryan Gunn of Boscawen, Amanda York form Loudon, and Jessica Wheeler Russell are all good candidates and deserve our support, as does Charles Niebling, our current moderator.
Jessica Wheeler Russell deserves special mention. As a member of the school board, I have been extremely impressed with her dedication, work ethic, and strong support for the students of our district. Jessica chairs several committees and has attended nearly every committee meeting of which she is not a member. Notably, she has been present at each meeting of the finance committee which sets this upcoming year’s budget, and she attended every budgetary presentation in every town in the district. In short, she is incredibly hard working, bringing diligence in research and consideration of precedence to our discussion. I can think of no person more deserving of our support to continue her work on the school board.
