Shot in the foot
The state Democrats have a lot going in their favor this election year. An unpopular GOP President. A state GOP that has abandoned fiscal responsibility to funnel taxpayer money to private schools. A state GOP Rep. that gave the Democrats a real gem when she called for “segregated schools” with no consequences. All the Democrats had to do was avoid saying two words: income tax. Alas, in a spectacular example of shooting the party in the foot, a group of Democrats released their income tax plan.
New Hampshire voters have shown they do not want the state to steal money from their paychecks. Some gimmicky online calculator isn’t going to change that. In every election cycle, the GOP claims the state Democrats want an income tax. Now they have proof! Let me be the first to congratulate the state GOP on retaining the House and the Senate in November.
