Concord, NH – Claire H. (Dussault) Lawrence, 98, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 7, 2026, in Concord, New Hampshire. She was born on January 9, 1928, in Manchester, New Hampshire, the daughter of Louis and Alice (Granger) Dussault.
Claire was raised in Manchester and attended Sacred Heart School before graduating from West High School with the Class of 1946. She spent many years working in banking at Numerica Savings Bank DW, where she was known for her dedication and strong work ethic before retiring in 1990. On September 3, 1949, Claire married Edward G. Lawrence, in Manchester.
Claire loved staying active and spending time outdoors, especially in the mountains. In her younger years she enjoyed skiing and embracing the beauty of nature. She also had a deep appreciation for opera and classical music, which brought her great joy throughout her life.
She was predeceased by her parents, Louis and Alice Dussault; her husband, Edward G. Lawrence; her sister, Priscilla Dussault; and her brothers, Raymond, Paul, and Andrew Dussault.
Claire is survived by her daughter, Bobbie Carswell, and her husband, Stephen Carswell, of Weare, New Hampshire; her niece, Diane Dussault and Diane’s daughter, Jackie Ruffini, of Watertown, Massachusetts; her nieces, Alice and Helen Dussault of North Carolina; and her cousins, Larry Demers of Nebraska and Kevin Demers of Florida.
Claire will be remembered for her quiet strength, love of family, and appreciation for life’s simple pleasures. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Services will be held at the Cremation Society of New Hampshire, 243 Hanover St, Manchester, NH 03104 on Wednesday, March 18th. Friends and family are invited to gather at 4pm and services will begin at 5.
