Understanding gas prices
Could someone please explain to me why our gas prices rise the minute the price of a barrel of oil goes up? That higher priced oil has not been processed into gas yet. And the gas we’re pumping right now was purchased when the oil prices were much lower. So somewhere along the line, someone is making a pretty good profit and we, the consumers, are getting screwed as usual. You can bet the gas prices won’t go down as fast as they went up.
