Arthur “Mike” Nichols

Concord, NH – Arthur Michael Nichols weighed anchor on March 24, 2026. He was born in Quincy, MA January 20, 1941. He leaves his beloved wife Suzanne Marie Nichols of Penacook Village, NH, sons Matthew Charles Nichols and his wife Alison and their son Ben of Belgrade, MT, and James Arthur Nichols and his wife Travis and their children Zinnia and Lucas of Nashville, TN.

He left a book of letters Underway, of poetry Poems of East and West, of plays and stories Along The Borderline.

He found meaning with wonderful people in pursuit of social justice, trekking in The Whites, and travelling throughout the States, France, and the Caribbean, raising animals, painting, writing, studying music, growing gardens, clearing brush and woodlots, swimming, and shoveling snow.

By now he has logged aboard the quarterdeck and been shown a rack and locker one deck below near the fantail ladder. He stands on the bridge under a full moon and star-filled sky with the wine dark sea before him listening to The Moldau by Smetana.

Services will be at the New Hampshire Veteran’s Cemetery on Tuesday, April 14, 2026 at 10:00 AM.
