Concord High alumnus Gavin Richardson is having a breakout freshman season on the Southern New Hampshire University golf team. This week, he earned both NE10 Player and Rookie of the Week honors.

In just his second collegiate tournament for the Penmen at Derryfield Country Club for SNHU’s Penmen Spring Invitational, Richardson showed what he’s made of.

On Monday, he opened tied for sixth place after shooting a 1-over 71. The following day, he stormed from behind and shot 4-under 66, the lowest round of the tournament. His masterful second day catapulted SNHU into a tie for first place on home turf.

Concord’s Richardson will return home with the Penmen on Friday, April 17 for the opening round of the Penmen Season Finale at Beaver Meadow Golf Course.

Concordโ€™s Gavin Richardson finished tied for second in the recent NHGA Junior Amateur Championship at the Mount Washington Resort Golf. Heโ€™s now looking ahead to the N.H. Amateur starting on Monday at Rochester Country Club.
