Chichester , NH – A. Allan Clark, 92, of Chichester passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, April 16, 2026. Born in Concord on May 27, 1933, Allan lived a life of service and devotion to his family, his students, and his community. His life was marked by accomplishment, commitment, and a tireless work ethic that left a lasting impact on those who knew him.
Allan graduated from the University of New Hampshire in 1957 and embarked on a fulfilling career in education as a devoted teacher in the Bedford and Concord Schools. His passion for education extended beyond the classroom. He served on the Chichester school board for over 20 years, influencing educational policy and shaping the future of countless students. During his retirement, he enjoyed painting and landscaping for friends and family until he was 85 years old. He also dedicated 30 years of his life to the board of directors for NH Federal Credit Union.
In addition to his parents, Abbott Alfred Clark and Mary E. (Davis) Clark, Allan was predeceased by his wife, Judith “Judy” (Parenteau) Clark in 2025; parents, Abbott Alfred Clark and Mary E. (Davis) Clark and sister, Gail Duke.
Members of his family include sons, William “Bill” Clark and his wife, Mary of Chichester and John Clark and his wife, Darcy of Northfield; grandchildren, Rachel Clark of Chichester and Jack Clark of Northfield; step-granddaughter, Kaylie Hickey and her fiancรฉ, Chris Gauss of Allenstown; step-great grandchildren, Cameron, Noah and Cal Gauss and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
The family would like to give a special thank you to friends, caregivers and the medical team that have helped support Allan over the past six months.
Calling hours will take place on Wednesday, April 22, 2026 from 11am to 2pm at the Roan Family Funeral Home-Still Oaks Chapel, 1217 Suncook Valley Hwy, Epsom. A committal service will follow at the Leavitt Cemetery in Chichester. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to your local SPCA or Granite VNA.
