Is there no bottom
When Donald Trump posted a picture on his Truth Social account of the Obamas as monkeys, I thought that he could not go any lower. Unfortunately, I was very wrong. Yesterday, Mr. Trump posted on his Truth Social account a picture of him as a Jesus-like figure placing his hand on a sick person, as if miraculously healing him. The image included a nurse, soldier, the Statue of Liberty, an American flag and soaring above were eagles and fighter jets. There were also some strange unworldly figures looking down from the clouds. The post was ridiculed across the globe and political spectrum and has since been removed. However, the removal does nothing to erase the sacrilege, disrespect, disgracefulness and outright sickness of such a post.
If there was ever a time to seriously consider that Donald Trump is not fit to lead our nation that time has now come. I cannot understand how any reasonable person can excuse, accept, condone or otherwise ignore the leader of our nation depicting himself as Jesus, who many believe to be the Son of God. There is no way to classify or describe this type of behavior as anything resembling normal. Please do not try and justify this outrage by claiming it was meant as some sort of joke. It was no joke. Imagine what Americans would have done if a Muslim cleric had posted this image with the Ayatollah depicted as Jesus. The outrage would have been justified as ours should be now.
