Salisbury, NH – Beverly Butler Sawyer, 89, of Salisbury, New Hampshire, passed away April 18, 2026. Born January 9, 1937, in Boston, Massachusetts, she was the beloved wife of the late Edward N. Sawyer, with whom she shared a lifetime of love, faith, and devotion.
She was a devoted mother to Amanda Sawyer Bailey (Raymond), Heidi Sawyer-Fawcett (Courtney), and Bradford Sawyer (Julie Feil Sawyer), and a proud grandmother to Brett Bailey (Annie Keck Bailey), Benjamin Bailey (Julia McCabe Bailey), Jessica Reeves, Abigail Sawyer, Isabelle Sawyer, and Bradford Sawyer, Jr. She was also a cherished great-grandmother to Keira and Jace Bailey.
A graduate of Knox School in New York, Beverly had a lifelong love of horses and enjoyed riding and showing. In 1957, she married Edward, and together they built a home known for its warmth and hospitality.
A dedicated member of Salisbury Congregational Church, she lived with quiet strength, kindness, and deep faith. She loved hosting family and friends and found joy in gardening.
Calling hours will be held April 30, 4–8 PM, at Bennett Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held May 1 at 11:00 AM at Salisbury Congregational Church. Donations may be made to Salisbury Congregational Church or the Salisbury Historical Society.
