Speer’s Fine Jewelry, a family business since 1950 in downtown Concord, is shutting down.

The closing sale began Tuesday at the store, on the corner of North Main and Depot streets, and will last until the stock of rings, bracelets and other jewelry is all sold.

Joseph and Shelley Spierer own the store, which has involved three generations of the family. The owners said they have been too busy preparing for the sale to comment on the closing.
