Lede article headline 5/6 unbiased?
I have always proudly read the Monitor for it’s unbiased coverage of the news and other areas of interest. However, when I picked up Wednesday’s paper, what first hit me was “District buys home with little notice.” If that doesn’t come across as a biased headline, I don’t know what does. The content of the article seemed very logical to me, so why the headline with the implied bias? Is the Monitor skewing “right” from center? I hope not!
