Daniel K. Stanley Sr.

Concord, NH – Daniel K. Stanley, Sr., age 76 of Concord, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 23, 2026 at the Granite VNA Hospice House after a long period of declining health. Despite many health challenges, he remained resilient, independent and grateful. He found joy in his family

He was a native and resident of Concord. He was strong-willed and stubborn, but those traits defined Dan. They were part of who he was, and his strength undoubtedly helped him deal with life’s challenges.

Dan was never scared to take on new opportunities and did everything with honesty and integrity. He had very strong values and was well liked by everyone. He always made time to help others.

Dan’s legacy is not written in grand achievements of worldly things but for all the heart he shared with his family and friends, the countless lives he touched with his profound warmth, generosity, kindness and his ability to connect to just about anyone. It will carry on forever reminding us that we can choose a life of meaningful acts of love and service, like Christ modeled for us. He showed up when it mattered, had your back, gave to those in need and would defend and stand up for his loved ones should the need arise.

His favorite entertainment was watching his NCIS TV show and he watched all the episodes numerous times. He loved a good party, his trips to Hampton Beach, his walks on the beach and playing in the casino.

Dan owned a successful business, Dan’s Building & Maintenance, but later chose a career of service. He worked for the Rolfe & Rumford Home in Concord maintaining the building, the Carmelite Monastery in Concord restoring it after the devasting fire in 1993 and for St. John’s Church (Christ the King Parish) as the Facilities Manager.

Dan is survived by his wife, Cecile (Robinson) Stanley, his son, Daniel K. Stanley, Jr. and his wife Lisa (Gosling) Stanley of Deerfield, NH; daughters Amy (Stanley) Chabot and her husband, Scott Chabot of Rollinsford, NH; Erica (Stanley) Gentile and her husband, Jeffrey Gentile of Barnstead, NH; grandchildren Colby Nugent and Skye Stanley, Morgan and Matthew Chabot, Jared and Amelia Gentile and great grandchildren, C.J., Carter and Colton Nugent.

He was predeceased by his father, Herbert Stanley Sr, his mother Carmelita (Clark) Stanley, his son, Jason Stanley, his sisters Carmie (Wescott) Davis, Mary Jane (Wescott) and his brother Herbert Stanley.
