Concord deserves better

In “Concord deserves better,” Fisto Ndayishimiye’s comments wrongly target Mayor Champlin. The article ignores that the Mayor has spent decades (and continues to do so) promoting the best interests of all residents of the city, working to develop a creative arts economy, expanding other parts of the business tax base, bringing new housing and making necessary investments in the city’s infrastructure city. The article ignores his track record, second to none, at welcoming new arrivals and inclusiveness. Councilor Brown has a right to free speech, and to question others in appropriate ways. Her approach, however, leaves lots to be desired. She should not be surprised when others take exception.
