Judith Mae Allard Fredyma

Contoocook, NH – Judith Mae Allard Fredyma, age 80 of Contoocook, New Hampshire passed away on Saturday, May 9th at her home surrounded by her family.

Judy left a lasting impression on everyone she met with her unique blend of humor and sass. She could entertain anyone with her enthusiastic stories. She loved the beach, traveling, the Red Sox, the Patriots, bowling, softball and observing her backyard birds. She had a passion for all forms of art and pursued a master’s degree in fine arts.

Judy was happiest when surrounded by her family. She was always the loudest cheerleader in the stands, no matter what her children or grandchild pursued. Judy instilled the importance of education, humor and generosity to her children.

Teaching was more than a profession to Judy. Literacy and the importance of reading was the cornerstone of her teaching career of over forty years. The majority of which was in the Hillsborough-Deering School District.

Judith was born in Manchester, NH, the daughter of the Robert and Hildreth (Philbrick) Allard. She attended schools in Manchester and earned a bachelor’s degree at Emmanuel College in 1967.

Judy is survived by her husband, James “Jim” Fredyma, with whom she enjoyed fifty years of marriage; her son Christian Nardi (Lisa Porterfield), daughter Jessica Fredyma, and daughter Molly Fredyma (Karl Serzans), all of Hopkinton; her granddaughter Emma Mae Fredyma (Jonathan Oberg); her sister-in-law Margaret “Peggy” Allard, her brother, Arthur “Champ” Allard (Connie) of Portsmouth, NH and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her sister, Janet Mosher, her nephew Matthew Alosa, her niece Judi Rajala and her brother Robert Allard.

Calling hours will be held on Friday May 22nd from 4-7 PM at the Waters Funeral Home, 50 South Main Street, Concord. Graveside Burial will be in the Contoocook Village Cemetery at the family’s convenience.
