NH Electric Co-op Election Time
Do you receive your electricity from the NH Electric Coop? If you do, you are one of 80,000 members and are entitled to vote in the Board election now through June 10. Among the candidates are three stand-outs who are running for the first time. They possess skills sorely needed by NHEC to keep energy affordable, sustainable and locally controlled. They call themselves “technology forward” and have the experience to back this up.
Brad Hakavy lives in Campton and Cambridge, MA. He has been a CEO of companies producing electric motorcycles and energy optimization, and is VP of the Energy and Water division at Oracle.
Laurel Boivin, from Lee, worked for Eversource for about 20 years and wants to put her utility knowledge to work by engaging members, communities and public policy makers in crafting our Clean Energy future.
Tom Randell, residing in Moultonborough, is an international commercial attorney and communications consultant specializing in infrastructure investment, including wind and solar.
These candidates envision diversified, local energy sources and storage for the 115-town Co-op service area. They are strong proponents of transparency in governance and communication with Co-op members.
