Avoid nuclear disaster
In November, U.S. Representative Maggie Goodlander joined five colleagues in sending a video message urging service members to disobey illegal orders.
President Donald Trump will order nuclear strikes, perhaps against Iran, perhaps Cuba or an as-yet-unidentified foe. How do we know this? He has made it clear again and again that he loves to throw his weight around, without regard to the law or what is ethical, so the nuclear order is not a question of if, only when.
It will be up to military officials to circumvent this criminal, wanton wielding of power. I pray they display the backbone absent from our Congress and SCOTUS.
