Chichester, NH – Gail Ruth (Hoadley) Towle, age 86, has gone on to heaven to join her late husband, James Towle, on May 28, 2026.
Gail was born February 27, 1940, in Bristol, CT to the late Glen and Ruth (Rosenbach) Hoadley. At age 9, her family moved to Northwood, NH, and she lived most of her married life on Towle Road, in Chichester, NH. She was well loved by family and friends; she had a strong faith, was tender-hearted and encouraging, and was always ready to help where needed. Gail had a deep love for her family, and she loved celebrating them whenever possible. She loved flowers and plants, both indoors and outside, and was an avid Patriots fan. Gail loved the mountains, and she and Jim climbed all the 4000 ft. mountains of NH. She was a constant support to her husband, Jim, opening their home to those in need, leading youth groups, coming alongside him in ministering to motorcycle groups, and hosting a home church. She was a member of the Chichester Historical Society for many years, greatly enjoying genealogical research. Gail was also a staunch supporter of the local Care Net, a crisis pregnancy center. Whether she was baking bread for someone, writing cards, or lending a listening ear, she was there for whoever needed her. She will be greatly missed.
Gail is survived by her 2 sisters, Elaine Hoadley Solarz (Peter), and Joyce Hoadley Munroe (Dick), along with her 3 children, Kendra Towle Holden (Robert Holden), Bradley Towle (Susan Bruemmer Towle), and Kathryn Towle Valley (Douglas Valley). She has 7 grandchildren: Joshua Holden, Ashley Holden Carson, Brandon Towle, Jacob Towle, James Valley, Melissa Valley Every, and Rivkah Valley, 12 great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Care Women’s Center, 13 West Street, Concord, NH 0330.
Family and friends are invited to gather at 9:30am on Monday, June 1, 2026, for her memorial service starting at 10:00am at the Roan Family Funeral Home – Still Oaks Chapel, 1217 Suncook Valley Highway, Epsom.
