It’s not who, it’s what

The point is not who — it’s what. The what is simple: get dark and big money out of politics. Nothing else matters as much as reclaiming our government from wealthy elites and the corporations they control.

How: If nothing else, vote. But let’s be clear: voting alone cannot fix a system awash in dark money. Since Citizens United, more than $1 billion in anonymous funding has flooded our elections, allowing wealthy interests to shape outcomes while hiding from public accountability.

Give voice. We are told to avoid politics in polite company, but there is nothing polite about a democracy for sale. Speak up — at your kitchen table, in your community, and yes, with those who challenge you. Donald Trump is not the only problem; he is a symptom of a system where money drives power and distorts representation.

We must confront inequality honestly, including our own place within it. Real change requires a collective effort — a unified “We, the People” — to challenge the concentration of wealth and influence that rig our political system. Transparency is the bare minimum.

If you are struggling, know this: showing up matters. Standing together transforms exhaustion into power.

We cannot wait for others to act. Be a candidate, of if not, support those that will speak out and demand: to get money out of politics. Build that movement. Win delegates. Force the issue.

This is not abstract. It is our democracy. And it will not fix itself.
