Cheryle Guerin

Concord, NH – Cheryle Ann Guerin, age 67, of Concord, New Hampshire, passed peacefully on May 31, 2026, surrounded by the family she loved so dearly, at Concord Hospital. She fought a long battle with lung cancer and COPD, fighting hard right up until the end. Born on June 30, 1958, in Lebanon, NH, to Martha Bruce and Fred Guerin, Sr. The family then moved to Concord, where she remained and raised her own family.

For over fifty years, Cheryle devoted herself to the care of others as a Licensed Nursing Assistant, a calling she pursued with unwavering tenderness and grace. Forty-eight of those years were given to the residents of Havenwood Heritage Heights in Concord, where she became far more than a caregiver – she became family. Those who knew her work understood that Cheryle did not simply do her job; she poured her whole heart into every person in her care.

Selflessness was simply her nature. Without hesitation, without condition, Cheryle gave her time, her energy, and her love to anyone who needed it. To know her was to be held by her extraordinary generosity of spirit.

Beyond her profession, Cheryle found joy in the quiet, creative work of her hands. She was a gifted quilter and crafter whose pieces carried warmth in every stitch. Her garden was a labor of love – though she drew the line at uninvited snakes. She had a special fondness for lilies and lilacs, flowers as graceful and enduring as she was.

Cheryle is survived by her lifetime companion and love of her life for 52 years, Richard A. Curtis; her daughter, Jennifer Loichle; her husband, Jethro Loichle; and her cherished grandsons, Alexander and Luke Loichle. She is also survived by her sisters Debbie Guerin, Pam Watson, Tina Guerin, Robin Watkins and her husband Bob Watkins, Karen Garnett and her husband Wes Garnett, and Amy Dolley; her brother Fred Guerin and his companion Linda Beddington; as well as many beloved nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews, and the countless dear friends and cherished residents whose lives she so tenderly touched over the years.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Martha Bruce, and her long-time companion, Leon “Jr” Hammell; her father, Fred Guerin, Sr., and his long-time companion, Mary Dunlop, and her sister-in-law, Linda Fanny.

The family will hold a gathering on a date to be announced. Until then, Cheryle’s memory lives in every kindness given quietly, every garden tended lovingly, and every life made brighter simply by her presence.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you plant a beautiful annual in her honor.

She especially loved lilies and lilacs.
