Webster, NH – Webster NH – Lisha Kimball ( Husemann ) passed away on 5/31/2026 in her home surrounded by her family.
Lisha was born in Bridgeport CT, the daughter of Bernardt and Golda ( Mills ) Husemann on February 2, 1947. Lisha spent time living with her grandparents in Bridgeport/Southport and could often be found hanging out with her cousins Karen and George. They enjoyed looking for turtles at Buckley pond and rollerskating in the street. It was said that none of the kids in the area would bully the Husemann kids for they knew if they did, they would have to deal with Lisha. Lisha did not back down to bullies’.
Lisha later moved to Hopkinton NH with her Aunt Evie (Husemann) and Gair Chase and their children George, Ellen, and Katherine. Lisha would say this was the greatest gift she ever received. Evie was like a mother figure to her and a lifelong friend. Gair was a kind and supportive father figure. Lisha’s Husemann/Chase nickname will forever be warmly remembered as “Cookie “.
While attending Hopkinton High School in NH, Lisha would meet a Webster boy named Daniel Kimball. She knew right away that he was the one. They would marry soon after graduating and move to Mutton Road in Webster NH. They eventually purchased 110 acres of woodland and field by working long hours and scrimping and saving.
Lisha’s dream of having a farm came true. She named the farm Milk Can Corner Farm and had a couple milking cows, sheep, steers, pigs, chickens, geese, dogs, cats, and horses. Her garden was extraordinary. She grew enough food to keep her growing family fed during the winter by canning vegetables. Lisha also began a pick your own strawberry, raspberry and blueberry business and later added over 1000 varieties of lilies spanning over an acre of field. She was featured in New Hampshire Home magazine in 2017 for her prized daylilies.
Later Lisha became an expert basket weaver and had her own shop giving lessons to others who wanted to learn the craft. She sold her baskets at craft fairs around New England and was highly regarded in the field.
Lisha was employed at the Merrimack Valley School District as a bus driver for over 20 years. She enjoyed driving the Webster route and getting to know all the Webster kids. She always recognized each kid’s birthday by baking and giving them her famous whoopie pies.
Lisha was a liver and kidney transplant recipient and survived for 24 years after the surgery. Her family was so grateful that she had this opportunity to live on and see her grandchildren and treasured spending time with them.
Some of Lisha’s most treasured times were horseback riding with her sons and family friends and bringing her sons to the family owned” river lot ” property on the Blackwater River.
