Proud to work with Gov. Ayotte

I was pleased to see Gov. Kelly Ayotte join our community in opposing this data center in Nottingham. While data centers can bring certain economic benefits, they also consume enormous amounts of electricity. At a time when many Granite Staters are already struggling with high energy costs, Ayotte and I recognize the importance of carefully considering the impact these projects could have on ratepayers. Another area of concern would be water consumption. Nottingham residents rely on well water for their homes and businesses. These data centers require millions of gallons of water for their cooling systems.

We have consistently focused on lowering costs for families and businesses, whether through energy reforms, utility oversight, or long-term investments in next-generation energy sources. I look forward to working with the Governor to keep Nottingham a great place to live, work and raise a family.
