Concord’s Alex Turant and Belmont’s Brayden Townsend claimed top spots as Players of the Year in Division I and III baseball as selected by the state’s high school baseball coaches.

Turant, a senior pitcher and infielder, was the most valuable player for the Crimson Tide and their regular-season effort to make the playoffs. He’s committed to attending Winthrop University this fall and will be a big addition to the Big South Conference competitors.

Townsend helped Belmont end a long championship drought behind the plate. It helped, of course, that 2025 D-III Pitcher of the Year Wyatt Divers was on the mound, but the two together were a problem for offenses across the division. He’ll attend Colby Sawyer College in the fall.

Here’s a full list of local players to make all-state honors.
