Mark, you will be missed
In 1988, Mark Ciborowski renovated the Chase building at 15 N. Main St.in Concord. Needing office space for a solo law practice, I was his first tenant.
At first, we had a five-year written lease agreement. Then for the next 28 years, the agreement was based on a handshake and your word. Mark was an awesome landlord and a good friend. Favorite memories of Mark include: 1) Making signs to stop any oil development of the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge then going to then Sen. Bob Smith’s office to protest; 2) Representing Mark in a lawsuit against a roofer for defective roofs on several buildings and taking a view on one roof at the exact same the first plane hit the World Trade Center on 9/11; and 3) Being taken to a playoff game between the Red Sox and the Astros at Fenway because Mark knew I was a life-long Astros fan. So the next time you are at the Bleacher Bar at Fenway, raise your glass and remember Mark.
