Everybody loves loops

I’m very grateful for all the amazing (million dollar) venues in Concord that I have all to myself at any given time. For instance, the new paved paths at Sunfox Farm and Terrill Park are a remarkable opportunity that few people are taking advantage of. It appears that the principle “everybody loves loops and nobody likes dead ends” is at play.

Naturally, a boardwalk will soon connect both paved paths. While this beautiful feature is likely to attract more visitors, it will still abruptly end under a bridge with shopping carts because the connections to Horseshoe Pond in the north and Pembroke in the south are pending.

Now imagine a standard farm road around the perimeter of Sunfox Farm and a stone dust path around the wildflower field at Terrill Park. All of a sudden, at negligible cost, we have an infinity loop destination. This stranded trail segment could easily become a one-stop shopping venue of it’s own in parallel with the larger rail trail dreams. It also might help raise the awareness needed to accelerate the dream.
